2026 Renault Duster Review – Exterior

Design & Styling
In times when most manufacturers struggle with design language, either to go for futuristic or old school, the 2026 Duster strikes a perfect balance between the two. It’s a handsome-looking car with an imposing stance and a solid road presence. The overall styling is such that it won’t offend anyone. Throughout our time with the car, the Duster attracted a lot of attention on the road and some appreciative nods as well. The face proudly carries the ‘Duster’ name, and surprisingly, there’s no Renault logo! Vid6639 was struggling to remember the last time he saw a car without the manufacturer’s logo up front. He didn’t succeed. The side profile carries a boxy silhouette. The rear is where some people might not like the design, especially those who hate the latest trend of connected taillamps. Other than that, Renault has done a good job with the styling.
In terms of dimensions, the Duster measures 4,346 mm in length, 1,815 mm in width and 1,703 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,657 mm. The car that you see here is the Jade Mountain Green shade. The neon yellow accents are exclusive to the Iconic Launch Edition, which is limited to 2026 units. There are 5 more colour options available – Pearl White, Moonlight Silver, Stealth Black, Sunset Red and River Blue.
Build Quality, Fit & Finish
As mentioned earlier, the Indian Duster is underpinned by the Renault Group Modular Platform. It feels solid and is well-built. There’s very little flex in the panels, and the panel gaps are consistent. We were glad to see that the doors had a good amount of heft to them, and the build quality matches the rugged design. The paint quality is also good and not an area of concern.
Wheels & Tyres
The base ‘Authentic’ variant gets black 17-inch steel wheels, which actually look quite good. The Evolution and Techno variants get 17-inch alloy wheels shod with 225/60 section tyres. The Techno+ and Iconic variants feature 18-inch alloys with 225/55 section tyres. Interestingly, the Jade Mountain Green shade gets the all-black alloys, while the other paint shades get diamond-cut dual-tone alloys. You don’t get a spare wheel, which is surprising considering there is a wheel well provision to fit a full-sized spare wheel.
Ground Clearance
The ground clearance stands at a healthy 212 mm, with approach and departure angles of 26.9 and 34.7 degrees, respectively. We drove it on some off-road patches that were frequented by trucks, and even drove across dried-up riverbeds, and the car didn’t scrape anywhere.
Standard & Extended Warranty
Renault is offering a standard warranty of 3 years or 1,00,000 km with the new Duster. You can opt for 4 years or 1,50,000 km of extended warranty under the Renault Forever Program. The service interval is set at 1 year / 10,000 km, which is standard.
